Turning it around the 'right' way 
it appears to be something like a Viking longship seen from ahead with a flag, a sail and oars.
Does Crewe have anything to do with Vikings?

Not sure about Crewe and Vikings, but there was a girl who asked a porter what could she do. She wanted to go to Birmingham but ''they put me off at Crewe''.
