Still, I suppose it is better (and cheaper) than another re-boot.
should you deside to re-fill, drill hole in new cartridge install , re-fill with out removing the cartridge when getting low . easiest one's are the Kodak , Canon 40/41 are managable , for other makes study before you drill. ( Epsom  )

the little bit as you call it is the print head.
some machines have a separate print head.

Ay up! (wearily)

This don't help. I have jer-jer-jiggled it about a bit but that don't help either. I took the side off the casing ( ) and found no obvious disconnected cables.

Looks like I'm searching for a repairer unless someone knows summat?

Yours hopefully

Do you not have a hardware utilities repair program that you can use on it?

Or maybe purchase one on a cd?

It would scan all the possible problem areas and give a report, then maybe repair the problem if it is a software corruption.

I have a question for those with more knowledge than me.

How do you get rid of a programme that refuses to uninstall via the windows uninstall programme.?

I signed up to a "cloud" storage area and down loaded the programme which turned out to be rubbish, I have tried to uninstall but windows tells me that it cannot be done due to the particular programme's installer being corrupt.

Ay up, y'all!

I've sorted our bucket o' bolts! I have a total lack of hardware checker but ran Driver Robot just to see if it helped.

Now working - many thanks to all!

Nigel.

If the program has been written by sensible people, it might just use the same name throughout all of its component files. Try searching for everything with the program name as part of the file name and then move them to the trash.

Dont delete them straight away in case you have accidentally moved something that is used by other software (although these days you should not be able to move vital system files to trash).

Carry on using the computer as normal and see if you get any missing file error messages, and if there are none after a decent time then empty the trash.

That is just a suggestion.

Download Revo Uninstaller. It's free and it will force an uninstall for almost any programme plus it will search and find any detritus and obscure registry entries.
It even wiped AVG from my PC absolutely clean.
