Ay up!

The Wallabies on the North York Moors do that. They hang around the railway, occasionally hopping about a bit but looking cute and hoping for scraps thrown from the train.

One more possible sighting of the Penn Wallaby but it was distant and in the dark so could have been a lame fox.

What does a Wallaby's call sound like?

The torso of the US ones ("Virginia Oppossum") is quite fluffy and in the past they have been caught for fur. They're usually much more cute looking than the ones in the advert, but they do like to bare their teeth if they feel threatened. I think it is more show - I've never seen one lunge, but then I've deliberately not provoked one. So I guess the teeth bearing works!

They're not at the food begging stage in Dallas, but I wouldn't call them timid either. Similar to armadillos I guess

There is a film of an alleged big cat walking along the West Highland line near Faslane, I know this was printed by the Sun, which has never let the truth get in the way of a good story, but when you compare the size of the cat with the width of the tracks, it is more than a standard moggy.

Be aware of the angle of the shot: The cat doesn't look so big when you look at the rail height!

Just checked book for you BB, Red Necked Wallabies were in Peak forest and parts of Essex but have spread further Including Cannock Chase.

Ye Gods - They're spreading.

They used to be just in Mississippi - then they spread throughout the Deep South.

Now they're in Alberta?

No close ups of the wallaby since the last but I have seen what could be either Mr W or a lame fox in the distance.

Last night I was awoken at about 1am by banging and crashing in the carport and our dog and the neighbours dog going crazy. My wife duly sent me out to see off who or whatever was making all the noise and I found on one of the veranda posts 1 large koala. It jumped off and climbed a small (3m) jacaranda tree nearby. In the morning it had moved to a larger gum tree by the side of the house much to the enjoyment of my two year old son. While koalas are not uncommon around Adelaide this is the first time I've ever had one in my backyard.
