Although not involving either the Railway or Tramway at Beamish this incident none the less must be regretted and our thoughts should be with both the young lads parents and the driver of the vehicle involved.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Been anounced that the Traction Engine involved was being driving by the young lads 41 year old father.A terrible tragedy and such a sad loss of a young innocent life. R.I.P. young man.
