In a country (Britain) that has been rebuilt and adapted to accomodate trillions of fictional wheelchair users, I don't think this bus with its internal staircase would go down a bomb.

O/T I know, but in Bristol any pub or cafe with tables outside is going to be taxed per table and chair, because they are a hazard to wheelchairs.

It is not that I dont spare a thought (or have sympathy) for disabled people, but it is the way that 5% of the population seem to have a disproportionate and expensive influence on local and national planners.

I bet if all preserved railways were required by law to provide a space for wheelchairs on every item of passenger rolling stock they owned, just in case someone wanted to travel in it instead of the designated converted Mk1, then there would be a different view.

This may seem an outrageous comment, but it is almost the position that many shops now find themselves in.
