Passed a group of cars travelling at speed on the Fosse Way back in the mid 90's. The lead car was leaving a Saab turbo and a Mercedes behind but I managed to overtake it on my BMW K1100 motorcycle to dicover it was a 'modified' Reliant. I attempted to shake it off but the driver not only kept pace with me but was pushing me to go faster! Since discovered that the engine in said Reliant was a V8 and the car was built by a gent who also had a cement mixer lorry that pulled wheelies and a milk float that not only pulled wheelies but could outstrip many a drag car at Santa Pod. Reliants - don't knock em.
