Firstly Hello
i have recieved my great grandfathers railway records and wondered if anyone had any info or photos of the engines he drove
he worked at tyne dock and drove Engines 2116 ,1994 ,1110
he was a drive from 1899 to 1937
his name was Edward West .
we have heard stories he drove the Scotsman but i think it may just be a rumour
he was also at Anfield Plain for a short while

As im away from home away from my books i cant help with the locos but no doubt 52A of this parish will give you chapter and verse on them.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

The locos and the depots you mention were very much involved in the movement of coal and iron ore during this period with very little passenger train work other than local trains.
