My Grandfather (Dad's Dad) worked on L.N.E.R./B.R. from 1918 - 1963, ending most of his 45 years service as a Driver on the Eastern Region.

Posts No 3, 8 and 19 will hopefully explain my interest & desire for further knowledge & info' on this subject.

Have a copy of his ' Long Service Award ' attendance request, from the Depot Master, Stratford (which appears to be signed, ? Micklethwaite)

The Attendance date is "3.30pm on Thurs 9th May 1963 "

(Driver W.J. Hudson).

I know he regularly drove 'Brittania Class' Loco's.......& ended up as a 'Pilot' at Liverpool St Stn during his last year (or so).

Any further info' appreciated.
