My Great Grandfather was Andrew Farmer Thompson from Berwick upon Tweed, an engine driver for LNER in the 20' and 30's. I would love to find a photo of him driving an engine at any of the stations on the mainline. Where could I find photos of the engines he would most likely to have driven. I have photos of him and would recognise him.
Any ideas welcome.

Two places worth a look would be the Ken Hoole Study Centre in Darlington:

An allocation list during the 1920s/30s for Berwick would give you a list of possible locomotives. If you knew the routes he ran then this would help narrow the list down.
