Gerry Ford signalman at Welwyn north s/box 1968-73.

I was wondering if anyone remembers Gerry Ford who use to be a regular signalman at WELWYN NORTH s/box from sometime around 1968 (or possibly a year or two earlier?) until when the box closed in September 1973. I think Gerry may have been at onetime a telegraph-lad either at WELWYN GARDEN CITY of HATFIELD No1 s/boxes in the early or mid 60s but i'm not certain of that?. Gerry use to live in Stevenage old town and when WELWYN NORTH box closed in September of 1973 i'm fairly certain that he packed the railway in altogether and probably got a job somewhere around the Stevenage or Hitchin areas?. I knew Gerry abit and met him a couple of times but we wasn't mates but i've sometimes wondered whatever happened to him down the years he would be around 60 yrs old by now?. Micky
