I'm trying to find details (pictures, plans, etc) about Hadley Wood before the widdening in the late 50's. In particular I'd like to know if there were any sidings at the station.
Thanks in advance,
Alan

I believe there were one or two sidings pre WW2, but by the 50's it was just two running lines. Plenty of photos in books like the OPC "Power of..." series, but as usual, almost all taken from the same place.

Hi Alan I saw this on a modeling site but I don't know if this was how Hadley wood station looked years ago. I think modelers try and get details correct.

I saw that too, but it doesn't bear any resemblance to what I know. I think it might be a compressed version of the East Coast mainline so could be trying to represent Barnet and Greenwood just before Hadley Wood.
Thanks for posting anyway.
