Any chance you can record it and put it up on You Tube for us colonials?

It is on BBC iPlayer, giner, and can be downloaded.

Hopefully this link will work.

Hi Giner.

It was an excellent programme delivered in a supportive rather than patronising or sneering manner.

Can you sign up for the BBC i-player? If so, you can download the programmes.

Just an idea.

Vernon

Great view of an A4 at Kings Cross shed passing a couple of Atlantics in filthy condition.

One brief clip shows three A4s and an A3 running in the same direction on parallel lines.

I wonder when/where that was taken?

Sadly, the iPlayer clips expire after a number of days.

Thanks for that link.

I had flu over New Year, which is probably why I missed that thread.

I agree that it's at the location identified in the previous thread identified above.

But at first viewing I was surprised to see that the four trains appeared to be running 'Up' the four Down lines there (the camera seeming to be pointing NW at the time); - arranging the four trains to run 'Down' the four Down lines from Hornsey to Wood Green, as seen in the clips previously linked-to in the earlier thread, would have taken enough organising but probably wasn't too difficult, operating Rules-wise; but to have got them turned and running the other way on the same tracks as well ...... !

Then I noticed that the two stop signal arms atop the prominently seen two-doll bracket signal, that should have their backs white with a black vertical stripe, appear to be dark with a stripe of light colour : - Aha! Penny drops; the film clip is of the four trains heading 'Down' after all, but as shown in this TV programme, has somehow become reversed!

I can't get the clip to play on my machine.

The Flash plug-in crashes every time. :(

Are you sure about that?

I was under the impression that in order to play, the clip needs online 'permission' each time, and when the expiry date is up, even a downloaded file will not play.

Thanks, John and Vernon. Unfortunately, I'm outside the scope of iPlayer. The Beeb restricts it to the UK only. Fair do's, that's where the licence payers are. I'll be keeping an eye on You Tube, though.
