55012: The Silver Jubilee at Newcastle.

To all.

I'm hoping somebody at this site will be able to help me.

I'm trying to trace as many photographic images of 55012 "Crepello", hauling the inaugural Silver Jubilee service, June 8th 1977, at Newcastle, or en route north of Newcastle, and at Edinburgh. There are a number of links to images, but the threads appear dead.

Reason being my Dad (now retired of course!) was the driver of this train from Newcastle to Edinburgh.

Your help and assistance would be appreciated.

Kind regards.

Marcus Gilmour.

Thanks all.

This was presented to Dad after arrival at Waverley... a paperweight...... I think the enjoyment of driving a Deltic was good enough for the old fella.

There must be images out there of the train anywhere from Newcastle to Edinburgh, but searches unfortunately bring up nothing.

There are some links here to some images, but the links appear to be dead..... or they are not opening for me..

I hope "neildimmer" is still around with this images.
