B12 or as we called them 1500s

When I was firing on locals at Enfield, the Liverpool Street/Southend commuter trains were worked by B12s or as we called them 1500s.
I always thought the 1500s were nice looking engines. Some of the old Enfield drivers who had fired on them at Stratford, spoke of the long fireboxes and the distance between tender and firehole door, which needed a long handled shovel.
Final day of steam to Southend from Liverpool Street.
