Help Needed

Hi. My uncle was station master at Amble, Northumberland as was his father before him. I recovered the old station clock from one of his out houses and was looking for information on what the number on the face refers to and on it's current value. I know that clocks sell for in excess of £1000 when fully restored but i have not found anything like this one online. Due to the damp the workings are fully rusted. I do have the pieces of surround which have fallen off and the casing on the back is complete. I understand the clock is from when the station opened in 1850 and the adhesives were added when the 24 hour clock was introduced. Any help appreciated and I will also consider any realistic offers. I would like to see it find a good home with a lner enthusiast rather than sell it to a dealer.
