The LNER Encyclopedia

This loco was stuck on the Waverley between Riccarton and Whitrope in January 1963 for 3 days. Im told she never worked again after this and was stored before scrapping. Can anyone confirm this please.

Thanks SS we thought it might be an urban myth.

The BR Database has it as withdrawn in June 1965.
