Accident reports on the GNR/LNER/BR (ER)

If anyone is interested there are ALL the 'official accident reports' available throughout the UK on-line via the RAILWAY ARCHIVE website, especially of interest are those accidents that happened on the GNR/LNER/BR (ER)
I wasn't aware of any of these accidents actually happening (except Welwyn Garden City in 1935 & 1956, Connington south in 1967 and Hatfield in 1968) so it came as a complete surprise to me to find this site!!.
The following accidents for 'in depth' further reading include-
1.Wood Green up box no.4-Hornsey no.2 in 1899 both signalmen's error.
2.Knebworth in 1900 signalman's error forgetting a train
3.Hitchin Yard in 1904 signalman's error forgetting a train
4.Finsbury Park no.4-Holloway north up in 1920 Driver's error driving with undue attention
5.Harringay (passenger)-Finsbury Park no.6 in 1926 Fogsignalman's error
6.Welwyn Garden City in 1935 signalman's error
7.Welwyn Garden City in 1957 driver's error passing signals at danger
8.Hatfield in 1966 a broken-rail in the down fast line south of Hatfield no.1 s/box
9.Connington south in 1967 signalman tampering with signalling equipment in the s/box
10.Hatfield in 1968 a runaway goods train

There's a few more to add to that list...two of them at Connington 1961 and 20th September 1966. The three accidents at Connington all involve Deltics Too.

I was hoping to also find there, the multiple collisions 'accident' in Canonbury Tunnel, but although there are two entries for Canonbury therein (1877 and 1881), neither yet has a report attached and available.
The instance I was thinking of (from what is in the 'RailwaysArchive' site, I think it may have been the 1885 one) resulted in, IIRC what I once read about it, some confusion in bell signals between the signalmen at the respective GNR and NLR boxes controlling either end of the tunnel
(pre-virtual standardisation of bell signals, I presume), where a NLR bell signal sent and meaning something like 'train refused', received at the GN end translated into something on the lines of 'permissive acceptance'.
By the way, for those interested but not previously aware of the site you refer to Micky, I think it must be the

Strangely enough, that's one I'd like to see. From what I've read, it was the driving force behind setting up the standardisation of a lot of the rules and regulations.

The rebuilt W1 came to grief at Peterborough after the front bogie frame failed.

It is indeed a very useful source, but it definitely does not yet have all of the accident reports, and occasionally you will come across a request for a copy of specific ones that are missing.

Yes i use that source a lot and have found some very interesting reports but the Musselburgh accident of 1941 is only listed with no documentation. I have provided a few pics to the site from my collection.

Can't say Micky, though I know that Highbury Crescent has been listed somewhere in an official operating book (possibly one of the GNR Society's reproduced Appendices, like 1907 or similar).
But in the same listing was also included, what must've been a GN box(?), somewhere near the Fins.Park end of the tunnel, and named Drayton Park (well, after all, it would've been only a throne's stow from Drayton Park GN&CR's station).
