Tornado question

My friend has sent me a video of Tornado at Alnmouth and the air pump sound is very noticeable. Is this a Westinghouse pump and where is it located.

I think it's a Westinghouse pump - don't quote me on that - but Tornado actually has two, and they are located between the main frames. Tornado has a main pump and an identical backup pump.52D wrote:My friend has sent me a video of Tornado at Alnmouth and the air pump sound is very noticeable. Yes, but she has two air pumps, which was the crux of the question.2512silverfox wrote:I think you will find that she has air and vacuum brakes.
Vacuum only used on preserved lines tho. Not sure what type of air pumps they are. Possibly ex polish pumps.2512silverfox wrote:I think you will find that she has air and vacuum brakes.
