Currently researching accidents on the NER during WW1 and on the superb railwaysarchive.co.uk website there are unfortunately no documents for the Camp Railway on 15th December 1917 - i've seen photos of this accident and the damage looks rather severe, which copies with the listing for 47 injured on the Railways Archive website - does anyone have anything, please?

Thanks, Rob

Have you tried the National Archives at Kew, search engine at NRM or North Road Darlington? they are all good sources of information.

Where is the Camp Railway?
Could it be listed under another location name?
Are there any more accidents that should have warranted an investigation but didn't get them?
I can think of one "Annitsford"

I think it was a railway specifically built for Catterick which underwent massive expansion during WW1.
I've used the NRM and North Road archives before but due to work i'm struggling to find time to travel there at the minute, so most of my research is internet-based
