My world stops around Grantham i'm afraid but odd thing's do slip through the net, not Carr Loco though, but Sand Bank....Micky wrote:Well done Richard you don't half cop some track diagrams.
Bet you don't have SAND BANK or CARR LOCO s/boxes?.

Re: LNER Locomotive Junction
There used to be a separate LNW loco shed at Colwick but I don't think it ever had a signal box associated with it. All the descriptions I have seen of the box (WTT's, Appendices etc) have just shown plain 'Locomotive Junction'. A picture of it in 1954 can be found here: dl.dropbox.com/u/60050243/GN44-05-04.jpg

Re: LNER Locomotive Junction
There was also a Locomotive Junction box on the H&BR at Hull, and an Engine Shed box at Percy Main loco shed.

Re: LNER Locomotive Junction
We'll have Doncaster covered if we go on at this rate!
Here is one from our collection on John Saxton's site: http://www.lymmobservatory.net/railways ... ster_c.jpg
Lots of other good stuff on there.

Re: LNER Locomotive Junction
I've just done a quick and dirty search on our database and come up with 50 signal boxes in various parts of the country with 'Loco', 'Locomotive', 'Engine' or 'Turntable' in their names.PinzaC55 wrote:There was also a Locomotive Junction box on the H&BR at Hull, and an Engine Shed box at Percy Main loco shed.
And that is by no means exhaustive.
