It's Bradford..say no more. That place has zero respect for anything predating the late 1950s, and we all know why

It's a cancer that spreads throughout the area.
In Dewsbury there used to be a pub, called I believe the New Inn, that was flattened about 1971 that used to fascinate me because it was the only building I'd ever seen with steps DOWN into the building. I later discovered that parts of this building were Mediaeval. After demolition, the site was used for rough car parking with the lead flashing clearly visible on the Bank building next to it. There is now a McDonalds on the site.
After it was demolished, it emerged that this pub had been the supposed site for the first meeting of what became the Rugby League. A claim made by Huddersfield and surely it was conincidence that this pub was flattened just after the creation of Kirklees Council?
Politics - BAH!!!
