Nameplates - Capital letters in different sizes

I can't find the original post now, and the search facility won't "play ball" with my choice of search words 
, but I'm sure I noticed earlier that somebody had queried as "unusual" (possibly on an industrial loco?) the use of "all capitals" on a nameplate but with a larger capital letter to start a word. I had no time to reply at the time, but was surprised that somebody thought such nameplates unusual, so I've just double checked a few pictures. It was a standard style on GCR loco nameplates, at least.
