Original Sleaford North Junction Signalling layout

I am a Signaller at Sleaford North Junction and I am trying to find the original track and signalling layout for my box from when it opened in 1882.

I have 18 levers and I am sure they would all have been used when the box opened. There are now 5 spares plus two are associated with the Single line “branch” to Sleaford West. I know that the “branch” to Sleaford West was double at least up to 1937 when there was a nasty derailment here. That would account for a couple of the spares but I would love to know what they were all used for.

If anyone has any information, plans or photos that might shed light on the situation or ideas as to where I might obtain them, I would be very grateful to hear from you.

Many thanks

I don't think Richard would mind me suggesting that you go on 'John Hinson's signal box' website. John's an ex-signalman and has loads of s/box track diagrams of GNR s/boxes. Micky G.N.R/L.N.E.R.

I'm sure the line between Sleaford West and North was double in the 1960s because our school (Carres) had two football fields adjoining the line and I cant remember it being single track, and especially because on many weekends ECML services were diverted over the GN&GE and some services called at Sleaford in order to provide a connection for Grantham.
