I notice that the flashing green fourth aspect is still in use between Peterborough and Grantham

I had a quick look and the track plan scrolling on the right is inaccurate.

Re: Kings Cross to Doncaster and back in 32 minutes
Is there an equivalent "drivers view" video (or film) from the 1960s or early 1970s available commercially?
I'm sure that I have seen brief clips taken from the cab of a Deltic between Kings Cross and Peterborough, and often wondered if the entire journey was filmed?
Or maybe I am just letting wishful thinking get the better of me.....

The only such cabride that I've seen is of a mid 80's? Scotrail 47 hauled KX-York stopper...one of the last loco hauled duties, and part of the initial Jeremy English Railscene series.
Quite an amusing soundtrack, with a knowledgeable Doncaster driver making mincemeat of a typical 'know all' Cockney Footplate Inspector...
Unaware of any Deltic ECML cabrides on the market...although, rather strangely, there are several filmed on the WCML!
Cheers

Re: Kings Cross to Doncaster and back in 32 minutes
The film from a Deltic cab is on an EE promotional film and can be found right at the end of "Diesel & Electric on 35mm" Vol 1 with John Huntley.
It would seem to be very early 1960s judging by the accompanying clips of un-named Deltics.
I'm sure they must have filmed a good deal of the first few miles out of Kings Cross. Let's hope the original is lying in an archive vault somewhere.

P.S.: edited to say that in order to show what I am talking about to those who do not have the above video, I have edited the footage and have posted it on my Flickr page. The clip should be viewable at http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirbrianro ... 706652822/
Looking at the bonnet detail, it would seem the film was actually recorded from an EE Type 4, and not a Deltic.
