64B Haymarket MPD

I am trying to build a 00 scale model of the front area (which may have been known as the east end of the MPD) of Haymarket MPD including the famous turntable that seems to appear in most photographs taken in the 1950's.

Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain copies of bulding construction plans of the Motive Power Depot including dimensions and materials used when it was altered some time after 1924 with the coming of the Gresley Pacifics.

I have quite a few black and white and colour photos of the depot, I also have an excellent book called Steam Days at Haymarket by Harry Knox but none of these give me actural construction sizes and materials used.

Can any one please advise me if such plans or drawings would be avaiable?

Regards

David

Landscapes: Have you tried the Scottish Records Dept. in Edinburgh? I do know that they hold some archive materials on Haymarket M.P.D. Presumably the 1924 alterations and plans were passed by a committee and the meetings were minuted and maps or drawings of the revised layout presented. Or, might there be records deposited with the relevant department of the Edinburgh City Council. In addition, Harry Knox is ,I believe ,engaged in writing a fuller history of Haymarket from earliest times and may perhaps be willing and able to help. Good luck.
