Watton-at-Stone Oil Terminal

Post by Dave Cockle »

I'm trying to ascertain when the rail served Oil Terminal at Watton-at-Stone opened and closed. All I can say at present is that it opened in the 1960's and closed in the 1980's. It used to be served by a weekly block train (6B49) from Ripple Lane. In the winter months it would sometimes run twice a week.

Any one out there any ideas.

Cheers

Dave

The only date I have for it is 10.08.1991 when it was recorded as being deleted from the TOPS computer file

And opened after 05.04.1965 (not in the WTT or supplements up to then). I will look to see what later WTT's I have when I next venture up into the loft !
