[This is just to alert, in case there are any forum viewers who may never look at the 'Model Railways' forum, that there is currently a thread therein about the above topic, of possibly wider interest.

Yes, very useful and thanks, Robert - it should be remembered, however, that the GN still used four digits when referring to 'suburban' services, including the Cambridge Buffets, which were all generically 1B66 I seem to recall. I also remember the 0920 KX - Cambridge was 3030 down, if only because poor Trunky who worked with us could never pronounce it properly and this it was always 'pirty pirty down' to him. Did we take the mick - who us?
