Yes, but a very long time ago - from memory, was it post-war and one shot featured a Thompson vehicle, a door being thoughtlessly swung open and catching somebody at ballast level in the face, or am I thinking of something else?
A topper is proper if the train's a non-stopper!

Can't remember that film, though I have worked with a few! Anyone remember the Third Sam?

Indeed I do - it featured Crewe driver Bill Norburn, who was a traction inspector when I first knew him in the 1970s, then he became a traincrew supervisor there. The money on shifts would have been better. Sadly, long gone to that great messroom in the sky.52A wrote:Can't remember that film, though I have worked with a few! Anyone remember the Third Sam?

HQ1 thats the one i saw it Monday night at an LNER film show. Mr Damphool is a shadow like cartoon character that uses up all his nine lives in railway accidents, getting his head banged twice in the shunting move that you refer to.
