What happened to the LNER dynamometer car?

Last night I was leafing through Cecil J Allen's book on locomotive exchanges. There are many photos of trains during the 1948 exchanges with the LNER (I believe ex-GNR) dynamometer car behind the engine.
What happened to this vehicle? Is it preserved somewhere?
I must say it looked pretty decrepit in the photos - almost warped in appearance. I dread to think of it at 126 mph behind Mallard! I assume it was in better shape than it looked!

A quick forum search for 'dynamometer' would have taken you to
this thread which has both interior and exterior photos and shows the car in its present state and location.
It was ex-NER, incidentally, not GNR. (Did the GNR have anything of that nature?)

Now you mention, it - don't think they did. Only ones we ever seem to see in photos are the NER car, the L&Y one and the GWR version. Never heard mention of a LNWR or MR one, either, anyone confirm, please?

On reflection, I think I've read somewhere that Gresley borrowed the NER one so perhaps they didn't feel the need?
