Whilst on my researching sessions i came across this little gem of 1853 showing the fares and timetable of the Blyth and Tyne railway.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

While it's always amusing to see prices from many years ago, I always say that if we were to take a particular price for anything which is also available today and express it as a percentage of the average wage for the working man in those days, then apply that percentage to today's figure, we would find that today's prices are usually very good value for money.
