Hello everyone. I've just joined this forum after reading many interesting bits of info on it.

I'm modelling Blyth station (from the level crossing on Renwick Road to the bridge over Turner Street) as it was in 1958, in N Gauge, to scale. I've been lucky enough to obtain copies of architects plans of 1894 from Network Rail Archives Dept at York, and have amassed alot of photos of the area I'm modelling through various contacts. However I'm always interested in obtaining any further info anyone may be able to shed on any aspect of the station and its operations in the 20th Century through to closure in the 1960s. I'd especially like further info on the following:

1. Photos of the inside of the station
2. locos and coaches used on special trains that ran to Blyth in the 50s and 60s, especially football specials involving Blyth Spartans and Newcastle United
3. Any other info or photos anyone may have that have not been previously published - e.g. I have very poor photocopies of photos taken in the late 50s/early 60s by a Mr. Hutchison, but I would very much like better copies if anyone knows of their whereabouts.

Of course, I am happy to pay sensible costs incurred in the supply of any info new to me. Many thanks for any help anyone can give.
