LNER stock on the LMS

Post by neildimmer »

Hi All

On the following photo :-
http://stanier-jubilee.photos.gb.net/p57402946.html

45563 Australia seems to be hauling LNER stock at Preston 1/7/61
Can anyone ID the stock if this is so, and what would the service be?

Looks like an excursion train, probably Blackpool.

This photo came up a few months ago, in a livery discussion which I think Bill B may have started....

The first two vehicles of this up WCML express behind 46235 near Kensal Green in 1961 are Gresley stock. The first appears to be an end-door SK and the second an RSP.
