Deltic18 gave this to me yesterday, and it brought back many memories. This is the booklet that was available for "The Hadrian" railtour in 1973 from Newcastle to Barrow (via Carlisle and Carnforth) and return. I was on this railtour, but lost my booklet many years ago.........and joy of joys, now I have another (and an original....not a photocopy). Yehhhhhhhh!

Note the original price of 10 pence.

If anyone is is interested I can scan the inside pages (4 and a route map) and post them here.

I would imagine (but don't know for sure) that it's the GNR Director's saloon. If it is, then it does most definitely still exist.

Afraid not as he's sitting in one of the streamliners, all gone now although I believe one or two of those magnificent swivelling chairs was saved. The GNR saloon does indeed have two similar chairs and is currently available for traffic on the Bluebell Railway

Oops - forgot the two observation cars off The Coronation, which most certainly do still exist

It looks like the Coronation set

But neither have their original interiors.

As I understand it, one is to be restored to original condtion - that not happening, then?
