The LNER Encyclopedia

I picked up a very useful illustrated book titled 'An Historical Survey of Selected LMS Stations, Layouts and Illustrations' by Dr R Preston Hendry etc, recently. It is packed with useful information, but mostly not for me; it's not LNER!
Does anyone know where I can obtain a similar work for the LNER Stations just waiting to be modelled?
Perhaps there's another source I don't know about?

Try Ken Hoole's inspirational "North Eastern Branch Line Termini" (ISBN 0-86093-219-2), which has comprehensive scale drawings, track diagrams and photographs of the stations and associated buildings at Whitby, Richmond, Alnwick, Guisborough, Middleton in Teesdale, and Alston.

To go with the LMS publication you have also got at least a 2 volume set of "An Historical Survey of Selected GWR Stations" published by OPC.
Does this indicate something missing from the market (dont say Southern Staions)

I have a vague memory of there being an OPC illustrated history of LNER stations vol 1, but cant be sure if my childhood memory is playing tricks.

If there isn't then sureley there ought to be. I can recommend the book on LNER country stations it really is most interesting. Duncan
