The clip of York showing the subway construction stated as being 1928.
This clip is on a Fastline Films DVD and is stated as being 1936 subway construction.
Which one is correct? I would err on Fastline films side as they are the decendants of the original film unit.

However good clip.
2 questions The LNER Priestman excavator does anyone know anything of its history?
and The GWR wagon being loaded with spoil.
Was it sent back loaded to Swindon or points west?

Im told that the central sta did have a canopy at the rear at one at one time ,also the roof profile is alike and also the stone column at the end of the wall matches newcastle the place where they are digging is where the old power box was located in the sta roof .it looks as it was for a cable duct to pass under the goods lines at the rear as the trench with the sleeper base is not very wide
