Anyone with photos fo the bridge at Grosmont?

Post by amphigory »

Hi there... I was hoping someone out there might have some pictures of the NYMR bridge at Grosmont, or know where I could find some? I'm mainly looking for pictures of the "new" bridge right now, although pictures of the footbridge would also be welcome. Something that was taken "straight on" (i.e. not at an angle) would be especially helpful, as I'm trying to scratchbuild a model of it.

So far, I've found only one on the net, and it's at a pretty sharp angle so it's less than ideal (http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/detai ... ?id=327611 for those interested.) It seems that everyone is much more interested in the tunnel than the bridge. :?

Thanks a million!

Hi Patrick

Sadly with what is under that bridge it is very difficult to get a photograph of it straight on, the only way you could possibly do it is if you go onto the footbridge, but this is not really a shot people go for. What I can offer is when I am next down possibly some time this month or next is I can take some photographs for you if it's not to late by then.

Karl,

If you could try to snap a shot when you get a chance and it's not too much trouble, that would be great. (I'm in the US, so it's going to be a long time before I'll have a chance.) I think I'm going to just rough in a generic foam structure for now in the interests of getting my basic layout running, and wait for realism until I have enough information to make a credible effort.

Since I'm starting a brand new layout, I've got plenty to work on ... everything from Rolling stock to DCC to track to... you name it.

Thanks!
