Identify this locomotive/location?

I have been recently offered this painting - it's a print of an original by the late Peter Owen Jones. At a first look I think that's a J15 - can anyone confirm this or have any thoughts on a possible location? I know there isn't much to go on, but perhaps if someone has seen the painting before and has any more info?

Thanks,

Joshua

Almost certainly a J15 but I can't offer any more than that. Lovely picture.

You could make enquiries with the Guild of Railway Artists, of which he was a member: https://www.railart.co.uk/

Definitely a J15 pulling GER stock. Splendid picture, but I don't alas know where it portrays. The sharply angled level crossing should be a clue. Feels like it should be somewhere up high on the Essex/Suffolk border.
