Does anyone know of any website that give details or maps of all the lines in the Wakefield area.
I have seen one that was under development but only covered about half the country.

There are some old ordinance survey maps available that give details of the area as it used to be round about 1900, I have the Wakefield one and I can give you the name of the publisher if you wish,

Further to my original answer the maps are published by David & Charles,

A couple of sites with old OS maps:
Part of the Ordnance Survey site I think, with maps from first edition, some areas also have newer maps up to the 1930s:
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/
And one featuring the OS New Popular Edition from tthe late 1930's/1940's:
http://www.npemap.org.uk/
(And of course Google Earth to help trace what is left!!)
Hope this helps....

When trying to trace old lines/tramways i use multimap. You can switch from maps to aerial photos real quick and coverage is national. hope this helps.
