Yes it should be on a separate thread Micky, but I dont know how we go about getting it moved.

I had read about the accident many years ago, but have never read all the witness accounts until now and it becomes rather fascinating. Like many mysteries it tends to draw you in slowly but surely.

None of the signalmen in the South, Yard or North boxes heard any whistling, nor did South Box's telegraph lad.

And yet a fireman (who had worked with Fleetwood for four months before Fleetwood was off work with sciatica) insisted that Fleetwood would always whistle at South Box on both stopping and through trains, plus again about 100 yards from the platform when not stopping.

To be honest. I wouldn't know if you could get Fosters here or not, not my tipple :oops: prefer a wee dram :mrgreen:
