My copy arrived today, direct from The Titfield Thunderbolt.
Quick browse over lunch.
Now to get to grips with containers!
(When I've finished one or two other projects.)

The quality and production are to the same excellent standard as the previous volumes.

Mine also arrived today from Bob Pearman. Same quality, good content and well worth it.

What will Peter do now I wonder?

Assume the laurels he so richly deserves. Hoping to pick up my ordered copy this w/e. By the time I have built the GNR's well wagon, Rapido will probably have supplied me a Stirling single as a test load, such is my normal rate of progress...

Yes, he certainly does deserve them.

On the other hand, LNER and constituent NPCCS are sadly under-documented......

My copy also arrived in today's post from Bob Pearman, together with Larkin's BR Parcels and Passenger Rated Stock Volume 2. The former is an in depth work of considerable research and draughtsmanship, the latter is rather the opposite although better than nowt. Also in today's post was a copy of Larkin's BR General Parcels Rolling Stock - A Pictorial Survey, Bradford Barton found on the used book market.

Jonathan is correct in stating that LNER NPCS is poorly documented, Larkin virtually ignores LNER Milk Tanks and Milk Tank Wagons and the Milk Vans, is thin on the Horse Boxes although the unusual Hound Van was a surprise, but even that had been the subject of a drawing and article in one of the model magazines.

But on the other hand, Peter deserves a well-earned rest and our most grateful thanks.

Young Skywalker - your LNER Wagon Library is complete... Yes Master.

As well as NPCS/Milk vehicles a much desired book (for me) would be a GS Tenders as very little info about, that I know off.

Got my copy at York Model show.
Proved its worth already as it has a detailed photo of a wagon we are currently overhauling on the NYMR.

Agreed, and no doubt a very complex subject, full of traps for even the knowledgeable! The only reasonable source I know is John Edgson's 'Isinglass' drawing.
