Hi,

did mixed trains have a dedicated train category / headcode / bell code or was the usual branch passenger code used?

Mixed trains would normally be signalled as ordinary passenger trains (I have a few WTTs from the early 50's and any mixed trains were shown as class B passengers with a column note stating it to be a mixed train
