Like a member elsewhere on these forums, I too possessed a book some years ago which I would like to own once more but can remember neither the title nor the author.
It was the reminiscences of a lady (if my memory serves me correctly) who was persuaded to write the book when she announced by chance to somebody in the community that she had served in the offices of the great man himself, Sir Nigel Gresley, at Kings Cross when he worked there. I believe she was his secretary, but certainly she was in close contact with him, and shared some stories I have never read before or since.
Now I know I have posed the question at the best place, so any ideas please, anybody? If anybody actually owns a spare copy, maybe I'll see you in the "Classified" section...
Alan.
