Does anyone know how North Eastern sheds dealt with loco shedplates on re-located locos. When a loco left a shed to move to another did its original shed staff remove its shedplate for re-use?. Also if a loco was to be scrapped did shed staff remove the plate before it left? Reason for asking is I have a 50E Scarborough plate and I know there were only ever around a dozen locos shedded there making it quite a rare plate. If the plates were reused then the plate becomes even rarer.
Cheers
