Evening everyone
Could someone please help with advice on making/using a track gauge please.
I wish to build my own track to 31.5mm gauge and wish to turn up a set of gauges to achieve this. Since I'm new to this I thought I'd ask the experts what dimentions do I need to to turn to. I've seen a few different types of gauges both here and on other forums so I have a rough idea of what I'm making. I notice that the gauges have different spaced grooves on them, I'm assuming the two outer ones I would set the inner edges at 31.5mm however I'm not sure what to set the inner grooves at which I assume are for the check rails?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards
Pete

The question has to be asked - if you want to build track to the finer standards why narrow the gauge even more than the incorrect 32mm, when Scale Seven puts the whole accurate package together?

Re: Track gauge help needed please
It's a valid question and the answer is I'm new to this and while following threads on other forums have misunderstood the true scale of S7.
Now I need to decide which scale to build to, thanks for the replies guys.
Kind regards
Pete
