I think there's a limit because the whole website has to run in a pre-determined space on the hosting server.
Most other places I visit don't allow attachments (or ask that you keep them small). Instead you have to place images on photo-bucket sites and paste links to them.
The moderator would be the chap to ask for guidance.

I did ! And I followed Richard's advice to try adding them to successive messages, but that didn't work.
