History of Falmborough Station, East Riding of Yorkshire

Can anyone help.
I have recently bought the waiting room of Falmborough station ( originally Sewerby-cum-Marton ) The station was decommissioned in approx 1970 and the line was made into a single line. I can't find any real info on it and I would love to know more. My garden is the original platform and within the ground there is what appears to be a lamp shed although we ahve been told it was the ticket office ?
Any info would be great.
The building has been converted into a lovely property and we let it out for holidays. Several guests have said they would like to know more about the station itself so pictures etc would be fantastic.

Which line was it on?
I am hazarding a guess at Bridlington - Filey near the Sewerby crossing.
Am i correct?

Yes the station is between Bridlington and Bempton on the Hull - Scarborough line.

Well, for what it's worth, the 1956 British Railways "Hand Book of Stations" tells us that the station can handle goods; passenger, parcels & miscellaneous traffic; furniture vans, carriages, motor cars, portable engines and machines on wheels; live stock; horse boxes and prize cattle vans; and carriages or motor cars by passenger or parcels trains. However, it doesn't appear to have a crane of any description.

Flamborough opened as Marton, probably with the line on 20.10.1847 although the earliest timetable located showing the station open is May 1848. It was renamed Flamborough on 01.07.1884, closed to goods on 10.08.1964 and to passengers on 05.01.1970
