Coach at Sutton Bridge

Post by 52D »

Whilst travelling to my place of work i have noticed a coach (BR Mk1 perhaps) on a short length of rail in the former yard at Sutton Bridge M&GNJR.
Why is it there and who owns it.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

The owner is a railway buff, he bought a MK1 with the intention of restoring it as a shown piece and museum to the M&GNJR. I pass it every day on my way to work as my model railway business is nearby, Nothing much seems to be happening there, the coach has a coat of Red-ish undercoat, but that's about it.
