Station fencing colour

I am loking for the colour used for wooden fencing as used along the rear of platforms,ie,white, green ,creosote or whatever.Any region of LNER
1923/46.Thanks in anticipation,

I have given the present day BS381 colour references - see here: https://technicalpaintservices.co.uk/pa ... r-chart/88

Anthracene was derived from Coal tar and, when dissolved in a solvent, produced a preservative 'varnish' less tarry than creosote.
