I've tried looking, but to no avail, on an old post about this layout, so I'll start a newbee one.
The NRM are having an event weekend this 17/18 March, called Cab it, and as the name sujests you can go in normally closed cabs.
Mallard is popular, but I was early today, very nice cab, with lit up fire box (and the WRONG TENDER!)
Duke of Gloucestershire is in till it swaps with South Africa next Saturday to take the train back to Kings + (I did that one yesterday)
and there are visitors also in of Virgin 57 307 Lady Penelope and GNER 91 131 County of Northumberland.
Plus train rides, stalls, and Copenhagen fields, which looks like it's being extended towards Kings + and I took a coupe of pictures and moving talky pictures mainly of the trains.
The A1 is 4472, the Silver A4 is Fox and the blue one is Dominion of Canada

I've admired "Copenhagen Fields" for years, since seeing it in Model Railway Journal. It's magnificent - I'd love to see it.

It's in 2mm, but the shear scale of the layout, makes it look a lot smaller.
The scenery at the back is in 1:200 scale to give perspective, and it has trams on the top, and underground below.
There's mini cameras on it, and the one you can see makes it look like a garden railway, it's on the front right as it comes out of the tunnel.
The chap running the front controls recons it takes 6 to run it.
It was at York in 2005, and it's due at Newcastle in Mid November
and this spring Sinsheim in Germany.

I'm sure if you contact them, they'll tell you when they have it out, as it's a lot of un packing and re packing!

The Gresley Beat is at York this Easter. I saw it at Manchester last year and it was every bit as good looking as I hoped though the runnign was a bit patchy. One of the guys told me they'd had problems setting it up and also had an electrical fault. I'm sure anyone who's ever shown a layout can sympathise with that.
Still a magnificent achievement in the making and worth the journey on its own.

Copenhagen isn't on the Axeandra list, and Alexandra isn't on copenhagen's list

I've got a bum job this year at the York show, as there's too many to sell programs, working an hour on, and an hour off. Instead, I have the bum job of being a general steward, just walking round...nay mind eh? be there mondee agen.

It was at Ally Pally last year. I beleve I also saw it at Spalding but I cannot be shure on that one. Based on that I'd be suprised if they had it at the same exhibition 2 years running.
