George Hinchcliffe - Gainsborough Model Railway Society

Apologies if this has been picked up before now, but I haven't been able to find it, and thought it worth a mention.
I've just been listening to Radio 4 (Last Word). Part of the programme was devoted to George Hinchcliffe who was a founder member of GMVR and died earlier this month, aged 89. He was also heavily involved in the ill-fated trip of Flying Scotsman to the USA & it's return to the UK

What amused me on the radio 4 piece was that when he first met his 1st wife he asked how tall she was.
Her answer of 4ft 8 1/2 seems to have decided their future!!!
